In 2015 she founded S.H. & Associates IP Ltd (SH&A). She has acquired a significant reputation in intellectual property law, with a focus on design rights, trade marks, copyright and confidentiality. She is listed in both Legal 500 and Chambers as a leading individual who “continues to command the respect of peers and clients. SH&A’s practice areas cover the protection of intellectual property rights including dispute resolution, civil litigation in the High Court and IPEC, criminal matters such as counterfeiting andHMRC seizures, as well as investigations and claims from collecting societies and licensing agencies such as BSA and Getty images. The practice advises on the protection and registration of trade marks and designs and manages trade mark and design right portfolios for clients such as Ty Inc and Gü Puds. In addition, Ms Hadland advises clients in the negotiation and drafting of agreements including service agreements, head and sub-contracts, contracts relating to the development, maintenance and licensing of software, contracts relating to the global licensing of intellectual property rights and publishing and merchandising contracts. In respect of copyright, she has advised clients in cases of infringement and in respect of licensing and protection of copyright works, in in respect of copyright arising from goods and services as diverse as software, jewellery designs, fabrics and clothing, music, lyrics and packaging designs.
