About Joanna
Joanna Steele focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts, including breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets. Joanna practice has recently expanded to include generating and enforcing construction agreements for various commercial projects, including commercial landscaping, condominium development, and retail tenant renovations. Joanna has experience with multiple aspects of litigation, including discovery compliance, deposition preparation, and summary judgment motion practice. She has a record of securing positive results for her clients in federal and state court, as well as arbitration. Joanna graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she served as president of the Trial Advocacy Board and published a comment in the University of Richmond Law Review.
Prior to law school, Joanna worked as a litigation paralegal in New York, where she gained experience supporting anti-trust and securities trials. She earned her B.A. in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013.
