Dr. Simone Kämpfer is one of Germany's most respected criminal defence lawyers and a leading figure in white-collar crime litigation. A partner in the firm's White-Collar Defence and Global Investigations departments, she heads the White-Collar Defence practice for the Central Europe region.
Before joining the firm in 2018, Dr. Kämpfer served as a public prosecutor — including as press officer for the white-collar crime division — and later as a defence lawyer at a top boutique specialising in white-collar criminal law.
Her practice covers high-stakes defence for companies and individuals in complex commercial and tax criminal proceedings, both in and out of court. She advises on all aspects of commercial criminal law — from breach of trust, corruption, and fraud to money laundering, insider trading, and foreign trade law — and is widely experienced in compliance matters, internal investigations, and sensitive workplace cases, including MeToo. She also acts as a trusted lawyer and ombudsperson for major international companies, and counsels clients facing parliamentary investigation committees at both federal and state level.
Dr. Kämpfer serves on the Supervisory Board of Droege Group AG, is a trustee of Bucerius Law School, a member of ECLE (Economy, Criminal Law, Ethics), and sits on her firm's ethics committee. She is a frequent lecturer, an author on criminal and procedural law, and a member of the Executive Advisory Board for ZWH – Commercial Criminal Law and Liability.
