Ashley Myers aspires to provide care and assistance at what is often the most stressful time in a client’s life, help clients settle disputes quickly and discreetly using alternative dispute resolution methods, such as negotiation, mediation, parenting coordination, whenever possible. In the unfortunate event a settlement cannot be reached, Ms. Myers is experienced in aggressively litigating contested matrimonial and custody matters.
Ashley Myers is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Myers is routinely recognized by Thompson Reuters as a Super Lawyer and by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel as the Nation’s Top One Percent. She received the Barry Sinoff Professionalism Award, the Rudy Hernandez Professionalism Award and was recognized for her contributions to the revised, “Bounds of Advocacy” by the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar. Ms. Myers is Past Chair of the Jacksonville Bar Family Law Committee, Past President of the Florida Family Law American Inn of Court, Past Co-Vice Chair of the Rules of Judicial Administration and Past Chair of the Family Law Rules Committee of The Florida Bar. Ms. Myers currently serves as Secretary of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (Florida Chapter) and as Chair of the AAML Annual Institute,
In addition to specializing in divorce, parenting and timesharing issues (previously referred to custody and visitation), relocation of minor children, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, paternity, modification and enforcement of prior decrees, she frequently provides continuing legal education to her colleagues by lecturing on topics related to family law, including legislation, parenting coordination, alimony, child support, modifications, flaws in the law and trends in the law.
