About Giovanna
Giovanna’s practice focuses on providing legal assistance to insurance and reinsurance companies, with particular focus on structuring complex insurance products, drafting the necessary contractual documentation for compliance with the Italian supervisory authorities and assisting in the establishment of secondary offices or branches of insurance companies in Italy.

Giovanna advises insurance companies on regulatory and corporate matters as well as on their relationship with supervisory authorities, including in response to inspections or sanction proceedings. She is also a litigation expert, qualified before the higher courts. Together with her team, she handles a significant number of MedMal, D&O and Financial Lines cases.

Due to her solid and versatile knowledge of insurance law, Giovanna is often invited to speak at conferences and seminars on the most topical insurance law issues.

Over the years she has been ranked in Chambers, The Legal 500 EMEA, TopLegal, Leaders League, Legalcommunity and Business Law.

She is the author of numerous update articles on insurance topics and relevant publications such as “Zurich Insurance Guide for Italy (2012)”, “A Guide for Insurance Business in Italy” (2013), “D&O Risk and Liability” 2016 – 2017- 2018 – published by Financier Worldwide Magazine, “The Institutions of Assignment, Pledge and Lien in the Italian Market 2017” (the Italian section); “Insurance products, Unit Linked and Index Linked policies: discovering the civil and tax aspects” (2022).
