Lauren Smith is a highly regarded Solicitor specialising in Private Client. Lauren deals with a variety of cases including Wills, Inheritance Tax Planning, Asset Protection, Probate and Administration of Estates, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Trust matters.

Lauren acts for all individuals but in particular elderly and vulnerable clients.

Lauren qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and has over 15 years Post Qualification Experience specialising in Wills and Probate. Lauren is well known throughout the Yorkshire region for her advanced expertise, meticulous attention to detail and empathic approach to clients needs and circumstances.

Lauren joined Taylor Bracewell in December 2014, becoming a Partner in April 2018.

Lauren is a member of STEP (Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners) and is a fully qualified TEP (Trusts and Estates Practitioner). STEP is the leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the field of trusts and estates. This means that Lauren is an expert when it comes to advising clients on how best to manage their affairs.

One of Lauren’s biggest achievements is taking part in Will Aid. During November each year Lauren gives her time to write Wills for free in return for a donation to the Will Aid charities. Lauren’s huge commitment to this scheme has seen her raise over £140,000 for the charities over the past 10 years. She has been number one in the country for donations raised on more than one occasion – a huge achievement when over 600 firms take part each year.
