Sandra C. Ritz is the founding attorney of the Law Office of Sandra C. Ritz. She primarily assists the residents of Travis, Williamson and Hays counties, Texas, with their misdemeanor and felony offenses.
Ms. Ritz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and communications from Texas A&I and continued to pursue her passion for law at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1993. While in law school, she honed her legal skills and bolstered her foundations through experiences as a student attorney at the Juvenile Public Defender’s Office and the Federal Public Defender’s Office.
As an active member of the Texas legal community, Ms. Ritz maintains memberships with many prestigious legal associations such as the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and Hispanic Bar Association of Austin. Passionate about giving back to the community, she dedicates time to raising funds for Crime Stoppers and spends time mentoring students at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
In additional to being featured in Austin Woman’s Monthly Magazine, the Austin American Statesman, and Austin Bar Association, she has been recognized by her peers and clients alike for her diligent representation and unwavering dedication. Ms. Ritz has previously been bestowed with titles such as Top Attorney in Texas by the Texas Monthly magazine, the Lawyers of Distinction Award for her extensive contribution to the field of criminal defense, and recently selected to Super Lawyers for the third year in a row. With more than 25 years of experience under her belt, she places a strong emphasis on upholding transparency and integrity and ensures that her clients feel informed and advocated for throughout their case.
